When marketers want to develop their marketing plan, they consider the macro environment (big picture, broad situation of their product or service). To help, they use a tool called ‘CD STEP’ to remember all the areas of the macro environment. CD STEP is an acronym that stands for: Culture, Demographic, Social/Natural, Technology, Economic and Political/Legal.
If you were looking at the ‘C’ (Culture) aspect of a macro environment, what might be important for a marketer to consider about your culture when marketing to you? This is a personal opinion about your own culture (the answer isn’t found in your textbook or online). You can try including a quote about culture, the definition of culture, or how it fits in the CD STEP tool (from the Chapter 3 textbook reading), but this isn’t mandatory yet.
